MEMBER GALLERY

A/NT artists meet in the Member Gallery to share ideas.

A/NT allows all artists of any age, background, and level of skill to show their art every month. This one-of-a-kind program in the Puget Sound region provides a wide-open door to a diversity of artists. There is no income barrier. Artists pay a $15 per piece suggested donation each exhibit. Some pay less (or nothing), some pay more to help others. Also, each artist must volunteer seven hours a month to keep the gallery open. For those with disabilities accommodations are made.

A/NT Gallery artists discuss painting techniques.

Nearly 100 artworks are displayed every month, at very reasonable prices. For every artwork displayed on the wall, artists may include three prints in the print bin. Visitors are welcomed in by the trained Greeter, introduced to the gallery, invited to purchase art, or make a donation. Artists receive the full price of purchase minus a 15% commission to support the gallery. Some artists can earn more than they pay to participate. Less experienced artists learn about the business of art and get feedback to their creative endeavors.

The Member Gallery pays back to the community:

  • It develops the next generation of area artists

  • As a volunteer-run gallery, it develops leadership, administrative, and technical skills

  • By generating business, it supports the neighborhood

  • By attracting tourists, it enhances the prestige of Seattle

  • Visitors’ quality of life is greater by viewing and purchasing a wide diversity of artwork.
